Derek Blount, Co-Chair (Sovereign Bank) currently serves as President of the WaterTower Theatre Board of Directors. He joined the WaterTower Theatre Board of Directors in 2006 and has served in the roles of Board Treasurer, Co-Chair of The Corporate Council, Board Vice President, and in September 2010 was elected President of the Board of Directors.
Professionally, Derek serves as Area President for Sovereign Bank, a Dallas-based financial institution and past corporate sponsor of WaterTower’s annual fundraising Gala. In his role with the bank, Derek focuses on corporate banking including commercial real estate lending, mergers & acquisitions, equipment financing and working capital loans.
A Texas native, Derek received both his BBA in Finance and his MS in Marketing from Texas A&M University. Derek is an active member of American MENSA, an enthusiastic traveler and an avid runner. He is married to Bethany Blount and they have a son, Harrison.
Jeff Laceky, Co-Chair (Frost Bank) is a 30-year financial services veteran who began his career as an examiner for the Texas Department of Banking in 1984. Since then he has been involved in nearly all elements of banking from managing retail to commercial lending to wealth management. He currently serves as the Market Leader for Frost Bank - Addison and heads a team of bankers in addressing the financial needs of the local business and retail markets. Jeff is involved in the special needs community and serves on two boards of non-profits devoted to the education of persons with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. He and his wife of 27 years, Jeanne, are both Dallas natives who met in high school and reside in east Dallas near White Rock Lake.
